St. John's to Celebrate Veteran's Day with Tributes on Staten Island and Queens Campuses

Queens, N.Y. -
St. John's University will pay tribute to United States veterans
with ceremonies on its Queens and Staten Island campuses on
Tuesday, November 11.
- On the Staten Island campus, the event will commence at 8:30
a.m. at the flagpole outside of the Kelleher Center. Light
refreshments will be provided following the event.
- On the Queens campus, the ceremony will take place at Noon in
front of St. Augustine Hall. Lunch will be provided for registered
veterans and their spouses.
Designed to honor those who valiantly sacrificed themselves for
our freedom, the ceremonies on both campuses will include a short
prayer service and St. John's University R.O.T.C. Cadets will lay a
wreath in remembrance. Additionally, the “Star Spangled
Banner” and “God Bless America” will be performed at the ceremony
and “Taps” will be played in honor of those who made the ultimate
sacrifice.
